There are some weeds that we cannot completely remove with our 6-step program, but we do offer separate programs for them.
Nutsedge is a tough weed to control because its roots can grow 8-14 inches deep. On the roots are tiny tubers that can remain in the ground after you try and pull it, making it difficult to eliminate it from your yard.
Kyllinga is a low growing weed that mimics the appearance of nutsedge. But unlike nutsedge, this weed grows as a mat that covers your grass and kills it. It can spread easily over your yard in late spring and early summer. It reproduces through seeds or, like nutsedge, can reproduce through its root system. Any part left behind can regrow and spread, making kyllinga one of New Jersey’s most notorious weed.
